Are the sessions confidential?

Your privacy is very important to me. Everything that we talk about is completely confidential, except under rare circumstances, including serious safety concerns. We will review the confidentiality agreement at our first appointment.

What is your training as a psychologist?

I completed an M.Ed and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Toronto. My studies included course work in psychotherapy, diagnosis and assessment, and over 3,000 hours of clinical training.  I also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Women's Mental Health at Women's College Hospital. Since completing my studies, I have worked at hospitals and in private practice.

What is a psychologist?

Psychologists are trained in assessment, diagnosis, treatment and change interventions for individuals and groups. In addition to the provision of psychotherapy, psychological services include consultation, supervision, research, education and training. What is your regulatory body?

I am registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) (www.cpo.on.ca). CPO is a regulatory body which was set up in order to protect the public by establishing standards of practice.

How do I make an appointment?
